HMRC stops the use of personal credit cards

HMRC have advised that they will no longer accept the use of personal credit cards to pay outstanding PAYE late payment penalties, PAYE settlement agreements and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) late filing penalties from 13th January 2018.

The ability to make a payment to HMRC via a Post Office will stop from 15th December 2017.

Corporate credit cards, debit cards and payments by BACS will continue to be accepted.

If you intend to make a payment using a personal credit card, please do so before the 13th January 2018 deadline.
